Background

Harald Langeder has been an integral part of Fronius for over 30 years. After completing his apprenticeship, his professional career took him first to the development of battery charging systems, then to welding technology and later to project management for robotic welding systems. In 2010, he took over responsibility for the development of welding technology until 2020, when he was given full technical responsibility for Research & Development Welding Solutions and Solar & Energy. He has also joined the management of Fronius Int. GmbH as CTO.

Vision for the sector

In his dual role as Global Director for Research and Development, he is also jointly responsible for the fate of what he calls his "homeport" in welding technology. The subject of the skills shortage and how Fronius Welding intends to address it in the future is particularly close to his heart.
