- GYS, an international group always looking for innovation
GYS, a French industrial group founded in 1964, is a key player in the design and manufacture of welding equipment, battery chargers and car repair systems. GYS Italia, a subsidiary opened in 2015, allows the national coverage of the Italian territory to support dealers both for sales and technical assistance..
Powered by a world-class research and development center with over 90 engineers, GYS is a global technological partner in design and creation of welding and cutting machines. During the 21st edition of LAMIERA, visitors will have the opportunity to get to know the latest GYS innovations including the top of the range TITANIUM TIG generator.
WIZARD, an innovative technology for aluminium welding
The TITANIUM 400 AC/DC is a high-performance inverter for TIG DC, AC/DC and MMA welding that assures exceptional welding quality on all sorts of materials with its cutting-edge electronics and its fully digital control system.
Every aspect of the product has been meticulously engineered to guide welders through all steps in a simple and intuitive way, assuring perfect mastery of all welding techniques. Its integrated connection allows it to satisfy today's and tomorrow's needs.
The WIZARD ALU, a synergistic TIG welding and tacking mode for aluminum, is part of the TITANIUM series. Aluminium is a difficult material to weld with TIG that requires an high level of experience. The operator must be familiar with the reaction of the aluminium during welding and must have perfect control of the fusion bath by constantly adding filler material.
GYS has set itself the goal of finding an innovative solution to make aluminum welding more accessible to everyone. Not only does the WIZARD ALU allow you to weld aluminum rapidly, with or without filler metal, and with 30% higher productivity, but it also allows you to do it on very thin sheets (0.5 to 5 mm).
The engineers are also developing a similar method for welding stainless steel, the WIZARD INOX, which allows greater ease of use by reducing the heat affected zone with no oxidation, no residue and no need to clean, polish or pickle the workpiece.
A new TITANIUM 230 AC/DC machine will soon be available, encompassing all of the above functions in a more compact and versatile 230 A welder within everyone's reach.
