Level: Level 5 (CAP, BEP) welder, boilermaker


Main mission :
To ensure the production of welded parts on a numerically controlled machine or welding station.

Description and sequence of operations:

1- Programming the parts to be produced on the welding robot
- Prepare and file assembly drawings/files;
- Program the welding robot;

2- Produce the parts on the welding robot
- Prepare the welding robot for production;
- Prepare and position the parts to be produced using lifting equipment;
- Produce the parts;

3- Produce the parts on the welding station
- Prepare the welding station for production;
- Prepare and position the parts to be produced using lifting equipment;
- Produce the parts;

4- Check the quality and conformity of the parts
- Check the visual quality of the parts produced;
- Check the thickness of the welds (see weld thickness control instructions);
- Check and validate the conformity of the parts produced.

5- Prepare the storage of welded part work-in-progress
- Sort the welded parts according to the production range;
- Store and make available production work-in-progress;
- Ensures the storage of work-in-process for collection or dispatch.

6- Monitor and record machine hours
- Draw up a list of the hours spent by the operator;
- Record the time spent on the time sheet.

7- Maintain the machine
- Ensures that the machine is in good working order;
- Carry out regular and preventive maintenance on the machine;
